The challenges of education in the age of the internet
Massive information is available online, but fact-checking is a long and tedious — often, skipped — process.
Students today have short attention spans. They respond better to videos than to text. But it’s difficult to find quality educational videos for relevant topics online.
There is a very limited amount of Filipiniana resources available to schools. Most of the time, we resort to referring to Western text. There is a need for decolonization.
There is an ugent need to apply academic lessons to real-worlds problems. But we need to find and connect with the right experts.
Organizing physical or online events to feature Filipino experts and national artists and scientists can be a time-consuming and expensive activity.
